1. Dead lights and caterpillars frequently occur in a certain area of the LED display (8 or 16 LED lamp beads, one or three LED lamp beads have their wicks damaged, causing a short circuit. Such caterpillars are essentially two rows of LED lamps. malfunction). The exact same fault will occur again some time after the repair, in the same place. The cause of this failure is that the air outlet of the air conditioner blows air close to the display screen, causing frequent dead lights and caterpillars in the upper right corner of the display screen. Change the position of the air conditioner or move it closer to the display screen, and then the fault will be eliminated and will not happen again.
2. The air outlet on one side of the central air conditioner faces the display screen and is close to it. The LED display area facing the air outlet area repeatedly fails. Therefore, when using indoor LED display products, it is forbidden to direct the air outlet of the air conditioner to the display screen at close range!
3. When a display screen installed in an indoor conference room is used for a period of time, there will be a layer of “condensation water” on the surface of the screen, causing the screen to be full of dead lights and caterpillars.
4. Why does a large amount of condensation water condense on the surface of the screen? An on-site inspection revealed: Behind the display is a central air conditioner, and behind the screen is a cabinet-type air conditioner. The air conditioners are turned on and off at the same time, and the ambient temperature difference between the screens is less than 10°C. The relative humidity of the display environment is less than 75%. This creates conditions for condensation water. A large amount of condensation water condenses on the surface of the display screen. The greater the temperature difference and the greater the relative humidity value, the more serious the condensation water phenomenon will be. This is similar to the fogging on the surface of the car glass caused by the exhaled breath in the car in winter. . Moreover, when using LED displays, you should avoid large temperature differences in the environment in which the displays are used, and control the relative humidity of the environment. If the relative humidity is less than 75%, it is necessary to start air conditioning sterilization or add dehumidification equipment.
5. An improper failure like a “comet tail” occurred on the surface of the screen because the display screen was installed in a KTV. Guests accidentally sprayed liquids such as wine, milk, juice, etc. onto the surface of the display screen, and the cleaning staff carried out routine cleaning. Clean, as a result such inappropriateness occurred! Moreover, during the use of LED displays, if the surface of the display screen is dropped and contaminated by foreign objects, especially conductive liquids, the power should be turned off immediately, and then a special screen cleaning fluid should be used to clean it in a timely manner.
6. For a display screen installed in a relatively dry area, after a period of use, caterpillars appear everywhere on the entire display screen. The test showed that there was vibration on the surface of the screen structure. Some improper LED lamp beads of the screen were taken for further analysis. The reason for the damage of the lamp beads was that a large current penetrated and damaged them. Why are the LED lamp beads on that screen damaged? the power supply manufacturer will connect an EMI filter circuit from the live wire to the ground wire in the circuit design of the output to ensure the stability of the Voltage output. Moreover, all power supplies will have filter leakage during operation.
If the LED display fails, the leakage current will cause damage to the IC or lamp beads. Therefore, this failure was caused by electrostatic discharge caused by the display screen not being grounded.
