Static electricity has always been a concern for electronic products, and the same is true for the Led industry. LED display color issues, brightness issues, and technical issues have all attracted much attention, but the disposal of static electricity on the display screen is easily ignored. An electrostatic failure of more than 90% in the use environment is a potential failure, which is manifested in the weakening of the circuit’s ability to withstand electrical overstress and shortening its service life. It will cause the electronic equipment to malfunction or even damage it. Even if there is no immediate damage, potentially damaged components usually show up during use, so the impact on the life of the LED display is fatal.
The problem of static electricity is a part that cannot be ignored. Once adverse results occur, the impact on the life of the display may be fatal. So, how to avoid static electricity generated by LED display screen ?
1. Grounding means directly discharging static electricity to the earth through wire connections. This is the most direct and effective method of anti-static measures. For conductors, grounding is usually used. We require manually used tools to be grounded and equipped with grounded anti-static means. Belt, and work surface grounding, etc.
2. Establish an anti-static work area and use anti-static flooring, anti-static workbench, anti-static grounding wire and anti-static equipment in this area.
3. Weather is also an important factor in generating static electricity. The drier the weather, the easier it is to generate static electricity. It is best to control the relative humidity above 40.
4. LED display screen is a device sensitive to static electricity. INGAN chips are generally considered to be “first” susceptible to interference. ALINGAPLEDSSHI “Second place” or better.
5. Transportation and packaging; LED sensitive equipment should be stored in anti-static bags or containers from time to time during operation. This includes shipping and WIP. Precautions during transportation include consuming fleets, boxes, or other equipment such as wheels or trailers with conductive wheels and that are grounded when transporting LED equipment.
